Jazz dance evolved along lines parallel to jazz music and the popularity of Broadway. It has been described as blending European and African traditions with American influence. Class is fast moving and dynamic with strong technique that develops flexibility and co-ordination of total body.

LYRICAL

Continuous, gentle, flowing, technical jazz movements which blend smoothly from one to the next using slower-paced music tempos. Emphasis is on expressive, fluid movements.
